Oh my. How is it already November 1st? I can’t believe we are almost through 2023. We are at the best time of the year though and I am so excited to celebrate all of Cooper’s firsts this holiday season.

Yesterday, he celebrated his first Halloween! We are lucky to live in a very nice neighborhood around the Tampa area so he was able to see lots of cool decorations and get some great candy! We walked around with some neighbors who also have little ones so Cooper was able to spend Halloween with other kiddos his size (or just a bit smaller). I could see his little mind wondering about all of the costumes and getting excited to see so many dogs dressed up or just walking around with their owners. He’s not quite 1 yet but he’s close enough that he is getting more and more observant of his surroundings. He’s a great people watcher!

We chose to dress him up as an alien from Toy Story. You know, the ones that are always praising THE CLAW. If I must say so myself, he was the cutest alien there was! And, I didn’t see one other kid dressed up in the same costume as him which made it that much more special.

We even have a contest with my sister’s family about who has the best family Halloween costume. This is our first year doing it and we won’t know who won until after this weekend. Seth and I are going back home to Chicago this weekend and that is when we will hold the contest. We decided that we would dress as Buzz Lightyear and Jessie from Toy Story to complete our family costume. Seth definitely looks hilarious in a full grown Buzz Lightyear costumer so I hope we win!
