A few weeks ago, my friend, Colleen, and I took our kids to the zoo for a little zoo and lunch date. We joke that our kids are boyfriend and girlfriend and boy do they act like it! Her daughter Delaney is only 3 months younger than Cooper so they are able to play together and have fun. We try to get them together as much as we can so they can keep their friendship strong.
We decided to go to the zoo because it would be a perfect outdoor activity for the kids and they could see some animals. They both loved it!! Even held hands when their strollers were close enough together. It really was precious.
After about half of the day at the zoo, we decided to go to lunch and have some more time together. We went to Portillo’s which was amazing! I am originally from Chicago so being able to show Colleen what Portillo’s is all about was great. The atmosphere brings me right back home. The kids loved being there and spent some more time together sharing some snacks and enjoying each other’s company.
It truly was a great day that brought some new experiences for the kids. it was great seeing Coop’s reaction to the animals and being interested in seeing what they can do. It is more memories that we are creating and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. #coopsadventures
