Last week my parents visited for a few days to help us prepare for our move back up to Illinois. During their time here, we decided it would be great to do one more Disney trip for Coop. He loved the first trip in May and we knew we needed to make more memories with him at Disney with his Nonna and Nonno.
We wanted to make sure we spent a majority of the time at the Magic Kingdom because we did not get a lot of time there in May. So, we started our day at Hollywood Studios so he could see Toy Story Land again and go see the muppets. There was also a Mickey Mouse ride that we knew we had to take him on since Mickey is his favorite right now. And, he was so excited! The Mickey Mouse ride was a huge hit with him and he absolutely loved walking through Toy Story Land.
After Hollywood Studios, we went to Epcot for lunch. I had made a reservation at Via Napoli in Italy and it did not disappoint! It was absolutely delicious. And I will say, the move at Disney is to make a reservation so you don’t have to wait! And you can get excellent food. We didn’t go on any rides at Epcot because we wanted to make sure we had plenty of time for Magic Kingdom, so we just ate and left.
Once at Magic Kingdom, we went on as many rides as we could and Cooper just loved every single one. He got very excited every time we said we were going on another ride and could not wait to experience them. He enjoyed all of the yummy snacks from pretzels to ice cream. He even got 2 stuffed animals – one from us and one from Nonna and Nonno. But, he might have been happiest when he got to do a meet and greet with Mickey.
I will say, many people avoid taking their kids to Disney or other places like this when they are young because the kids won’t remember. But, I have got to say, this is my motherhood too and I will never forget how happy and joyful he was. Just to be able to see Disney through Cooper’s eyes makes every penny worth it because I will remember and cherish these moments. #coopsadventures
