The BEST Nursing Shirts

The BEST Nursing Shirts

After 1 full year of breastfeeding, I have tried many different nursing shirts. And to be honest, I really wanted shirts that didn’t look like nursing shirts. I wanted to still look “normal.” I got plenty of nursing tanks from my baby shower but those are hard to wear once it gets colder out – plus they are obviously for nursing. I found a couple options for long sleeved nursing shirts and I absolutely love them! I have gotten lots of compliments with them and they are stylish. Honestly, I can’t wait to be nursing in the future to wear them again!!

Block style with stripes

We all know that the block style has been in for the past year or so. I love the way it looks with stripes when you add a bit of color. This Color Block Nursing Shirt I got off of Amazon is amazing! It is soft and there is easy access for nursing and I still felt covered. I didn’t have to lift up the whole shirt or take it off of my shoulder. It is way more discrete. I bought the long sleeved style but you can also buy it in a t-shirt and in different colors. I wish I bought more of these in the t-shirt version. Every single time I wore this shirt I received compliments on it. Especially from hubby. He always said how much he liked the way it looked. The best part? I felt completely comfortable in it – both from a nursing standpoint and a good old comfy standpoint.

Striped Black and Red Hoodie

This Striped Long Sleeved Nursing Hoodie was a game changer. You can’t even tell there is a flap across your chest for nursing! It is more discrete than the one above in terms of outwardly looking like a nursing shirt. It is also really soft and comfy. I love that it is lightweight and not too heavy so it is a perfect transitional season piece and good to wear just around the house. It also comes in a bunch of different styles and colors so you can find what color option is best for you. Plus, I still felt covered when I nursed in public. I didn’t have to pull up the whole shirt or take it off of my shoulder just like the other one. The first time I wore this and started nursing in it, hubby was like “how are you doing that without taking off your shirt?!” His face was priceless! It is worth it!

Run don’t walk to buy these!!

The only thing I regret about buying these is that I didn’t buy more in more colors! Next time I have a baby, I am totally buying more of these! Especially in the t-shirt version. I wore them at least once a week throughout this past year – even during the summer here in FL! (Mostly because I keep our house freezing cold and I was stuck home most days lol). You won’t regret having these in your wardrobe when you are nursing – especially in public. My favorite things are that they are discrete, comfy, and stylish. What can beat that?
